GRP dry freight box body

 

 

Underframe: Longitudinals and floor bearers manufactured from steel, galvanised or aluminium, mounted to vehicle chassis with particular manufacturers recommendation.

 

Wings: Thermoplastic wings fitted to chassis with tubular wing stays, galvanised mudguard brackets and Ken Kerr standard or spray suppression mud flaps.

 

Sideguards: Anodised aluminium with galvanised folding sideguard arms to allow for easy access to battery and air filters.

 

Marker lamps: LED type, water resistant and shock proof. Amber to side, red to rear and complying with all legal requirements.

 

Floor options: 18, 21, 27 mm birch multi layer containerdeck ply board, finished with a phenol non slip surface.

22, 28 mm keruing hardwood halflap.

22, 28 mm safodeck laminated 300 mm planking.

 

Body sides: To be of 2 mm white GRP exterior face with 12, 15 mm high grade birch ply centre and 1 mm white GRP internal face.

 

Roof: Fibreglass or aluminium roof skin on fully bonded galvanised roof sticks with aluminium standard radius cant rails.

 

Interior: Two rows of heavy duty load lok to off-side and near-side only. Lower load lok to be 610 mm and upper to be 1220 mm from floor level. One interior light fitted to top of front bulkhead.

 

Rear closure: Dry freight wide lath (Whiting) shutter, housed in galvanised rear frame on two steel galvanised tracks with double tension balancer to allow easy opening. Standard (70 type) door lock assembly and finished with side and bottom seals.

 

Aluminium narrow slat shutter, housed in a galvanised rear frame on two lightweight steel tracks with single tension balancer to allow easy opening. Standard hasp & staple lock finished with a bottom seal.

 

Double (F1 type) phenol dry freight barn doors, flush fitting with double acting hinges and recessed door gear to give a totally flat sign writing surface. Near side to open first and to be retained to side rave with spring assisted door retainers.

 

Double standard phenol dry freight barn doors with exposed galvanised hinges and door gear with standard plastic/rubber seals. Near side to open first and to be retained to side rave with spring assisted door retainers.

 

Tail-lift options: Depending on type of rear closure we can offer several lift types such as column, cantilever, and tuck under.

 

Paint and decals: We provide a painting and decal service as part of the finishing process.
